Scene 1:

Location: Hotel in Mumbai

Sarita is tensed to see vikrant so angry. she says that she doesnt have any answer to his question, and that she justr wants to say that her is mistaken in his thinking. Vikrant says that he knows whats wrong and right, and that not only is she betraying him, but also betraying her friend, divya, and tainting her relation of motherhood with abhi, and blames that she has made a joke of all relations. As he leaves, she says that he’s right and this is spoiling all four lives, and she wont let that happen.

The next morning, as vikrant comes out of the bathroom, he finds sarita laying out his clothes, while sarita hesitatingly looks for a chance to talk. Vikrant eyes the ring kept at the table, and when sarita leaves thr oom, he throws it out the window, and it accidentally lands on raj’s feet, and he takes a sign, that this is an indication to coax him to ask her to run away with him. In her room, when abhi is playing with sarita, she gets raj’s call, and she leaves, asking him to play, while she returns in some time.

Sarita meets a waiting Raj, asking her about the ring, and says that someone must have thrown the ring in the lobby. He asks if she was talking about this husband – wife relation. He apologises seeing sarita tensed, and says that he doesnt know what happens to him, when he sees her with vikrant. He says that he’s happy that she didnt kiss vikrant, and that she doesnt give him a place in her heart, and that raj and her and made for each other, and the marriage rituals dont hold any meaning. He says that now they have to decide how to tell this to vikrant and divya. She again tries to reiterate the same advise, and asks him to forget her. raj again sternly reminds her of the deal and the bet that they had. He says that she proved that she still loves him. He says that now noone can seperate them. He says that he wont let vikrant steal his love, and that he would give his life to prove that he loves her. he says that noone can seperate them, except for death. He says that she might think of him as a fool, and immature, and then to prove it, he runs upto the rooftop. Raj stands on the rooftop, and asks sarita to confess that she loves him and wants to be with him, or else he shall jump. Sarita is shocked. she tries to get him to stop this, but he keeps saying the same thing, as he cant live without her. he says that he maynt be destined to live with her, but he can die with her. Before he can jump, she says and promises that she would do whatever he says, and raj thinks that now both of them shall be together. Sarita is distraught and tensed. Sarita thinks that the lord knows she did this only to save him.
