HTC One's next-gen model to be bigger, faster with twin-sensor rear camera

HTC One's next-gen model is reportedly said to be bigger, faster and include a twin-sensor rear camera. The smartphone, a successor to last year's HTC One is speculated to arrive by the end of Q1 in late March this year. 

According to Cnet, the smartphone is expected to have a 5-inch or larger display along with a Snapdragon 800 or Snapdragon 805 processor making the smartphone faster. 

The twin-sensor rear ultrapixel camera would allow better focus, depth of field and overall image quality. 

The smartphone, codenamed M8 is also speculated to have a 3GB RAM, Apple iPhone 5S-like fingerprint reader, and the familiar unibody metal housing and run on Android 4.4 KitKat with the latest version of HTC Sense, the report added. 

In November 2013, HTC had launched the One Max, its highest price handset for the Indian market at a retail price of Rs.61,490. The company has jumped to a 5.9-inch display screen with the One Max, from 4.7-inch screen size phone model.

The device comprised 16GB or 32GB onboard memory that can be expanded using a microSD card slot, besides a 50 GB of additional storage option for free on Google Drive.

"HTC One max has largest display from HTC's stable. This is phone comes with stylus, insurance for theft, liquid damage and option to be be purchased in monthly installments," HTC India Country head Faisal Siddiqui had said at the launch function.

The phone will be available at market offered price of Rs.56,490.

In the One Max, HTC also introduced a scanner below the rear camera, which saves finger prints of the user and allows secure access only to the user of the phone.
